PRODUCT REVIEW: M.A.C HUE & IN SYNCH (SWATCHES)

I want to review the product that i've been using for a couple weeks now :)
and these are M.A.C lipstick in "HUE" and M.A.C lip pencil in "IN SYNCH"

Here they are

M.A.C "hue", M.A.C "in synch"

Both of them look almost the same on the lips, a pinky nude color. When I swatch this on my hand, "hue" look much more nude compared to "in synch" which has more peach undertone to it

My thoughts

M.A.C "hue":
M.A.C lipstick are my favorite lipstick of all time. According to M.A.C "hue" is a soft pale pink and it has a glaze finish to it.
However, I find this more into a pinkish nude, and somehow has a little bit of beige undertone to it. The color itself is very pretty and soft.

M.A.C "in synch":
"In synch" in the other hand, doesn't look nude because it doesn't has any beige or brownish undertone in it. It's almost a straight up soft coral pink, the color is pretty pale once you applied it though.
The texture itself is really nice for a lip pencil, and they do stay a lot longer on the lips compared to the lipstick. But, my lips can be super dry sometimes, and lip pencil just make them look even more dry.

PRODUCT REVIEW: NARS MADLY

I've got the invitation for Sephora V.I.B Discout a couple days ago, and i can't resist to pick this product up

Yes! it's NARS Madly powder blush. I have been wanting this for a while already until i purchase this a couple days ago. It feels like a dream come true. LOL
I fell in love with NARS product since two years ago, the first product that I've got was NARS Laguna Bronzer, and i was hooked!

Lately, I'm not really into a pink or coral blush anymore. I'm not sure why, but probably because I've been wearing those color for a while and kinda sick of it. If you read my blog, you'll know I'm really into bronzer right now, and with this blush, i can even skip my bronzer!

Here is the swatch

This product quickly became my current obsession. The color is so versatile and very easy to use.

According to NARS it a seashell pink color, i personally think that it somehow look more like a nude pink with beige undertone to it. It definitely has beige, pink, brown, and a little bit gold color.

This blush is awesome, it does not wash me out, it gives you a subtle hint of color and a nice sheen to your cheek, another HG product!

DUPE ALERT: M.A.C Satin Taupe

You guys probably heard this a lot, but I will review this product anyway, because these are my favorites.

I heard from a couple  source that "Nutty" from Wet N' Wild is a DUPE for M.A.C "Satin Taupe", so here they are:

I actually hooked with Wet N' Wild eyeshadow before that already. They have the BEST pigmentation compared to probably all drugstore brand eyeshadow, and even comparable to high end product like Urban Decay or Mac.

Wet N' Wild "Nutty", M.A.C "Satin Taupe"

As you can see, they look pretty much the same in the pan, a beautiful taupe color. However, "Satin Taupe" look like it has more bronzy color to it while "Nutty" has more silver undertone.

Here is the swatch
Wet N' Wild "Nutty", M.A.C "Satin Taupe"

So yes, they are not exactly the same but when you put this on the lid they are look alike and you probably can't tell. The Wet N' Wild shadow seems to be a little bit creamier in texture compare to M.A.C; while both eyeshadow have a really, really great pigmentation.

However, the downfall of the Wet N' Wild product compared to the M.A.C one is it seems to have more fallout, and if you drop it, they will break easily. The packaging also look cheap and plasticky? lol. But, if you don't mind about the cheap packaging then you should get it. M.A.C eye shadow cost you $15 while the price tag on the Wet N' Wild shadow only $2 - $3 depending on your local drugstore.

My October Make up Loves

Hi guys! i want to share my october favorite for make up category :)

1. Elf Golden Bronzer 2. MAC Dsquared Bronzer Highlighter(LE) 3. Dior "Incognito"
4. L'oreal True Match Powder 5. MUFE cream shadow in "steel"
6. Benefit cream shadow in "Birthday suit" 7. Wet n' Wild "Nutty" 8. MAC "Satin Taupe"
9. Dior Addict Lipstick in "tulle" 10. Revlon Lip butter in "Strawberry Shortcake"
11. Clinique Different Lipstick in "A different Grape"

I've been loving my bronzer more than ever. I rarely touch my blushes lately and just contour my cheeks a little bit.

Taupe eyeshadow also my absolute go to everyday color. I love a neutral make up that goes with everything and not time consuming to match them up. Meanwhile, I do love to pair them up with deep plum lipstick or nude lips for the fall and winter time.

Cream Shadow is another hit for me. It's really fast to apply and easy to use. Yes, I do love make up that not time consuming for daily wear, I won't sit in front of the mirror and sped a good 30 minutes only for the make up since I have to wake up early to go to school, and I found that this stuffs is amazing, works well with my skin-tone and they are just definitely a keeper!

Love, Michelle

Fall Loves...Candles

It's kind of weird to see my unhealthy obsession with burning candles. However, i really love them this fall, specifically, because all the fall scents that make me fell warm, and cozy. Its just remind me a lot of this beautiful autumn season with a falling leaves, cozy warm sweater and of course a hot caramel latte! slurp :)

Here some of my fall candles collection

Left to Right
Caramel Apple, Pumpkin Caramel latte, Creamy Pumpkin, Gingerbread,
Candied Sugar Plum, Hot Buttered Rum, Homemade Cookie, S'mores

And the one that i'm currently burning
Autumn

And here is the definition according to them:
Caramel Apple: Golden apple, brown sugar and creamy caramel are blended caramel are blended with anjou pear, nutmeg and vanilla cream.
Pumpkin Caramel latte: A frothy blend of creamy pumpkin, sweet vanilla cream and sweet pralines is topped with a spiced caramel swirl.
Creamy Pumpkin: Creamy caramel and gingerbread pumpkin blended perfectly with vanilla, golden amber and soothing warm cream
Gingerbread: The perfect blend of spicy ginger, rich buttercream and brown sugar topped with rich vanilla frosting
Candied Sugar Plum: Rich, sugared plum and boysenberries are blended perfectly with sweet orange, cinnamon leaf and a touch of apple
Hot Buttered Rum:  Rich and delicious, a comforting blend of spiced rum and warm caramel, with a touch of vanilla bourbon
Homemade Cookie: Whipped buttercream and pure cane sugar mixed with pure vanilla bean and rich, sweat cream for this fresh baked treat.
S'mores:  Layers of gooey marshmallow, melted dark chocolate and sweet graham crackers.
Autumn: A crisp fall fragrance that blends pomegranate and red delicious apple, with notes of fir balsam and rich cedar-wood.

Slatkin&Co make the best burning candles in my opinion. If you haven't tried any of these, you should try one. You can get them all in Bath & Body Works store and online.
They have a lot of new scents coming out for winter season, so probably they discontinued some of these scents already.
Its price is $20 each. I know, i know, it is pretty expensive for a candle, but i get mine when they had sale 2 for $20, so basically it's buy one get one free. They always have the sale at least once a month i think. Get your hands on this candles, you'll love it as much as i do!
